The rapid development of modern society has shifted the focus of education from mere knowledge transfer to the development of students’ intellectual and individual potential. However, in the learning process, students demonstrate diverse abilities, interests, and learning styles. Therefore, an instructional approach capable of accommodating such diversity is required, one of which is differentiated instruction. This study aims to analyze the role and importance of differentiated instruction in teaching primary school students. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method through literature review and analysis of previous studies. The findings indicate that differentiated instruction improves students’ learning motivation, academic achievement, and equal learning opportunities according to their abilities and needs. Therefore, the implementation of differentiated instruction plays a strategic role in improving the quality of primary education.
