Abstrak
The article is devoted to the analysis of the specific features of foreign language teaching in technical universities in the context of globalization and digitalization of higher education. The aim of the study is to identify the role of language training in the development of professional competencies of future engineers. The research method used is library research. The paper identifies key challenges affecting the effectiveness of teaching, including low student motivation, limited instructional time, and insufficient professional orientation of language courses. Modern educational practices are examined, including the use of digital technologies, elements of artificial intelligence, and integrative approaches (including CLIL). The study concludes that it is necessary to modernize the content and methods of foreign language teaching with a focus on developing professional and intercultural communicative competence.
